Sprite

Sprite is a carbonated soft drink produced by Coca-Cola and widely available in the European Union and Germany in various sizes. The beverage features a straightforward formulation containing water, sugar, carbonation, acidulants (citric acid and tartaric acid), and natural lemon and lime flavors. Sprite is completely caffeine-free, making it a suitable alternative to caffeinated soft drinks. According to EU nutritional labeling standards (LMIV), Sprite contains 33 kcal and 7.9–9.1 g of sugar per 100 ml, depending on the specific formulation. A typical 330 ml can (0.33 L) provides approximately 109 kcal and 26.4 g of sugar. The drink supplies no vitamins, minerals, protein, or fiber and consists entirely of empty calories. Regular consumption has been associated with potential health risks including weight gain, increased type 2 diabetes risk, and tooth decay, as the high sugar content significantly exceeds WHO daily recommendations (25 g for adults).
